Purchased the base layer bottom based on other 260 Icebreaker pieces. It is a nice weight, comfortable, non-binding fit, and will function well as leggings. Do not have the typical "long underwear" appearance. Wear an 8-10 and ordered a Medium, fits very well through waist, seat, leg, and length.... Read More

Reviewed by Kamanjah from Calaveras County, CA on Monday, October 21, 2013I love Icebreaker and depend on them in winter. These have a good solid waistband that didn't roll when I washed them. They seem to fit well, but I only tried them on to make sure they fit and haven't worn them.
I was so disappointed when I discovered a one inch hole in one of the leg seams. I want to exchange them, but they're sold out. Since I don't trust my sewing skills on merino (afraid I may damage surrounding fabric), I'll take them to the local seamstress for repair. I need these to keep me warm! I was packing them for a vacation we're taking when I discovered the hole, so will have to go with the GT260s I got at the same time.
Two stars deducted for the hole. I should have checked them as soon as I unpacked them, but it was still in the high 80s, so I had no need for them at the time.
Reviewed by Reinerrider from Arizona on Thursday, October 17, 2013Love these. They are midweight, but not bulky. I ordered a L since there were no M left. Probably could have used a M, but the large are fine though a little loose. Suspect that will not be a problem after laundering. Another quality Icebreaker product.
True to size, comfortable
Reviewed by Cat in the Hat from Eugene, Oregon on Tuesday, October 8, 2013These are wonderful. Don't know why they say discontinued. I buy a pair of them every year because I wear them every day during Fall, Winter and early Spring. They are very durable but 3 seasons of daily wear and washing can sometimes do them in ..... at the knees. They will last into the next year but it's always nice to get a new pair. I bought them first when I was in New Zealand 10yrs ago and fell in love with them. I spent three fourths of that year in a tent and was very pleased that they did not smell even when I did not wash them very often. Now I buy a pair of them every year and finding them on sale is a plus. I give a pair to people whom I love and want to keep warm during the winter....like my children, grand children and elderly friends.
These can be worn under just about any clothing..... under dress clothing or for camping, skiing, hiking. They are very warm but they breathe and they don't itch, at all. They can washed by hand or machine. In fact, washing them in a machine kind of renews the condition of the wool fibers.
Reviewed by Jessica Yee from Singapore on Friday, September 13, 2013Surprisingly, this merino product is not pokey as I thought. It is soft and feels comfortable. Have yet to try out in cold climate though but it is very well made. Great workmanship and shape!
Reviewed by Lauren from Los Angeles on Thursday, June 6, 2013These were perfect at night for sleeping while camping in Yosemite in May. The waistband was comfortable, but I can see it being uncomfortable if it was a little tighter.
