Icebreaker Bodyfit 260 Olympia Base Layer Top - Merino Wool, Lightweight, Long Sleeve (For Women)

I wanted to love this shirt. My first Icebreaker product, and surely not the last. I love the concept of using merino clothing for my active pursuits, instead of stinky old synthetics. I love the merino wool fabric, not itchy at all. Soft. Warm. Cozy and comfortable. I'm glad I went for a size L because I can use it as a shirt. The bigger size doesn't fit like long underwear (as a medium would have). I normally wear a medium but sized this up and it is a bit loose fitting, like a regular shirt on me. Now for the negatives: I don't care much for the color. In the picture it looked more like a bright pink or fuschia, but the color I received was plain old red. It is not a pretty girly color at all, more like a man's color scheme, red with a gray stripe down the sleeves. The other thing I disliked is that when the neck is zipped all the way up, it the zipper presses against my throat and is a little uncomfortable. I wish the neck wasn't as narrow. All in all I am glad I made the purchase, but would not have wanted to pay full price. I expect it will be a functional layering piece to wear when I cross country ski or when I hike in cold weather. Also just something to keep me warm on cold winter nights around the house! Not semething I would call fashionable though.

I love Merino wool clothes. We live in New England and enjoy skiing so it is a great fabric for that. We have Merino wool for all seasons and have purchased several different brands. I find icebreaker to be a quality product that is highly functional, BUT of the big 3 in Merino wool (ibex, Smartwool & Icebreaker)... Icebreaker is the one that I find to be the most likely to be a touch itchy. It is not an all the time feeling, just every now and then you feel a bit itchy. My solution is to wear a 100% silk base layer underneath my Icebreaker which of course also gives you a bit of extra warmth.

As woman prone to hot flashes, finding something that will keep me warm when I need it, and the ability to vent during those hot flashes, this item fits the bill. Love Icebreaker products because they are not scratchy, the workmanship is superior, and the cut has always been true to size for me (I'm a petite with a long torso). I love that I can layer under this top as it is not too snug, and also that it is thin enough to layer on top of it. Great product!

I love this garment- wool is my good friend when it is cold and damp and this is a fabulous inner layer. It feels great on and the thumb holes to keep it from riding up on the wrists are a nice feature.

This is the best thing ever. Do you know that feeling when your body is at a very comfortable temperature? You are neither hot or cold? Icebreaker 260 merino provides me that comfort. Keeps my body temperature at a very comfortable degree even when I am sweating. It is like a miracle. It is comfortable, durable, good fit. I am hooked. I would replace everything in my closet with icebreaker if they had a tiny bit more stylish stuff with more color options.

amazing how warm a lightweight layer in merino wool can be!

This shirt is perfect, just what I wanted. I put it on on a Friday and wore it for 3 days straight (except to sleep). I wore it for winter biking and skiing and it was warm, soft, comfortable, and lightweight. It was warmer than I expected given it's thinness. Large was the only size available and I usually wear a medium, but the size turned out to be just right, comfortable without being saggy or binding. I could wear this every day. It's perfect for active sports at around 20-25 F degrees, and also for lounging around at home.

I have several Icebreaker tops and love them - great fit and quality. Highly recommended.

My all time favorite shirt. Would never take it off, if possible within the realms of acceptable hygiene. Looks good, high quality workmanship and material. Merino wool is soft (and I'm allergic to other wools) and non-irritating. Nice and long, tucks well. Sleeves are long and I love the thumbholes. Glad I finally found this brand.
