Icebreaker GT Bike Cadence 3/4 Cycling Pants - Merino Wool (For Men)
Discontinued. Keep pace with the peloton in cooler temperatures with Icebreaker's GT Bike Cadence 3/4 cycling pants. A blend of merino wool, nylon and spandex wicks moisture and resists odor, and the anatomical, Italian-made chamois ensures hours of comfort in the saddle.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by photojon from Chicago suburbs on Wednesday, January 14, 2015Long live wool! Keeps one's muscles comfortably warm, but still breaths well. Haven't been on the bike in these yet, but have tried them on. Compared to the Ibex version of wool cycling knickers, also purchased at STP, I find two major differences. 1. The Icebreakers have a thicker, bulkier chamois. This will be great for long rides, but feels a little strange when walking. The Ibex chamois is almost as thick, but more flexible and less bulky feeling. 2. The Icebreakers have no wind resisting nylon panels over the knees. A feature that I really like in the Ibex version. So, one star lost for these, that I gave to the Ibex version. Either brand is a great deal at STP prices, though. I hope that STP will add some bike SHORTS in this wool/nylon blend by the spring. I have one pair already, from Icebreaker (with that same bulky chamois). A very comfortable compromise between wearing spandex and wearing MTB shorts on a road bike. They would be my first choice on a metric century, or longer ride.

for hours of riding with temps ranging from 45-60. It hasn't been colder than that yet. I think they'd work down to the thirties. Good temp
