I bought this for cycling, but find myself using it for everything: hiking, running, everything else. It breathes, feels light, is super soft and comfortable yet looks good. I love that it doesn't stink like synthetic shirts do.
It fits true to size (I'm usually a medium in cycling jerseys and the medium fits perfectly for me). I have muscular shoulders and most cycling jerseys seem to be made for women with absolutely no deltoids. This one strikes that perfect balance of a trim, athletic fit without being too baggy or too tight, and there's room for my shoulders!
As a cycling jersey, the shirt lacks back pockets, although there is one small zippered pocket on the side of the back panel. So you'd have to have your essentials in a saddlebag or pack--not a problem for me as I'm a mtn biker and always have a camelbak on, but this is a potential drawback if you're a serious roadie. In fact, I like the absence of back pockets because it makes the shirt more multi-functional.
Overall, this is my favorite outdoor shirt. It's awesome--everyone should have one!
