Great cold weather layer! Merino wool is great! It doesn't need to be washed as often as synthetic clothing, which should help it to last longer. This is a great price for a nice looking merino wool layer. This shirt performs and looks good on and off the bike.

All of the Icebreaker products are great: long lasting, moisture-wicking and great for long trips as they can be worn day after day without the "stink" of Capilene. In addition, they're quick drying.

These Icebreaker tops are suitable for a huge range of activities. Wear them doing physical activities,every day use or more formal occasions. Wash them in a cold wash with your other gear, not inside out, this will eliminate balling. I wear these tops every day, 220-320s when it's cold and finer threads and Ts when it's warmer. Great value for money compared with cotton.

Love the fit, style, and moisture wicking. Can see how a runner or tri athlete type would like this top. Just a serious day hiker/treker (porter assisted) But do a lot of climbing and sweating. Donated all my underlayers to the porters in Tanzania after Kilimanjaro in late Oct. Ordered this when I got home and we are now in a cold spell in the NW. Only under layer I have right now so wearing it several days in a row no odor problems and it just survived the second washing in which it snuck through the dryer and seens so have come through fine. I bit snuger but was a bit loose to begin with. First experiance with Merino wool so was a bit concerned about that. Also sensitive skin so wouldn't typically think of wool as a base layer but it works great. I can feel a bit of itch when I put it on but not enough to be annoying. Very stylish, reflective around the zip and sleeve logo. Found I love the thunb holes in the sleeves. Makes it easy to pull over a snug fleece and hooked them through under my fleece gloves when I was getting serious wind chill between the gloves and jacket sleeves. Very comfortable, love it.

Icebreaker makes a quality product. The only store is in Portland Oregon and the prices at Sierra Trading is so much better. Very excited to find these here!

For most San Francisco weather, this and an outer-layer is all I need on the bike. Zipper is great to either cool off, or to add a bit of warmth around the neck.
