While these socks are some of the most comfortable that I own, they don't help very much in making conversations with strangers. Maybe the company should consider a new name, like Happy Feet or All Day Comfort Sock Company. I liked them so much, I immediately bought ten more pairs. I have a number of products from Icebreaker and they are all top quality. These socks should last me a long, long time.

Ok, here's my 2-cent opinion of these socks. I bought 2 pair at Marshall's just before Christmas. I immediately started wearing them hiking and then around the house. I couldn't believe how well constructed, soft and warm they are. Only problem was that I only had 2 pair and wanted to wear them EVERY day. So a few weeks ago I thought...just for the heck of it, I will look on the STP site. Sure enough, there they were. So I got 4 more pair. Bought 2 pair of the hiking and 2 pair of the heavier "expedition" I think they are called, which are really, really thick and also come up higher. I'm very happy with them and, even though they are sold as seconds, I can't find any defects. So there you have it. Please do not buy them all up as I want to get more at a later time. Ok?

Before washing (my fault I guess) these were extremely rough and seemingly abrasive. I hiked around for a couple of miles and feet felt rather raw. I've washed them since and haven't seemed to have a problem but haven't been on a long hike either. Just wearing them normally.

I have a tendency to have cold feet, so I wear these as an everyday sock. Very comfortable. They are not overly thick and I can wear them with my everyday shoes.

These are nice socks, they are not really a cushioned hiking sock as advertised they are fairly light way. Very stretchy and elastic.
