No, I would not recommend this to a friend
“An XL would be equivalent to a US women's Large, possibly even medium.
Despite not being labeled as such, it would be a clinging, snug fit unless you order larger than desired. Because the material is so clingy and fine, if you don't, EVERY ounce of body fat on your torso will be accentuated. Consider yourself educated. And warned.
Also, the length is shorter than normal, hitting barely at the belt line. The fitted shoulders also fit oddly...the seaming made my shoulders appear to be "squared" off. It was weird and hard to explain as I have never experienced this in a garment before.”
