Reviewed by Snowbanks from Pacific Northwest on Thursday, October 24, 2013Huge Icebreaker Fan... however, fit can be an issue. BodyFit is considerably tighter all around, including the neck. In this case, when the zipper is all the way up...no cold air will get in, in fact no air will get in your lungs either. It's boston strangler tight. I recommend sizing up, and of course after a cold water wash, no dryer, you will get a slight shrink effect. I wear a 16 1/2 inch dress shirt for reference, 42-44L in most fitted apparel. I wanted to keep the fit in the body, just get the neck to open up.
I've been running with Icebreaker gear in mild to cold climates and it's unmatched in fit and quality. The fact the price is this low on STP is amazing...snatch them up while you can.
Yes, it's true...they don't smell. I can't agree with the itch free, but it's a small price to pay for comfort in a wide range of temp ranges.
Reviewed by Sunrize King from Los Angeles on Thursday, September 26, 2013This is the second generation of this product I've bought. I wore the frist iteration until there were holes in the elbows! It's light, warm, flexible, and you can wear it literally for weeks and there's no odor (that's wool for you) highly recommend this product. expect 5-10% shrinkage as indicated on the label
Reviewed by Txclothinglover from Dallas, TX on Tuesday, September 3, 2013This is a very cool-looking top, but I ended up returning it. It's what Icebreaker would call a mid-weight, I guess, 260 weight. There seems to be a much greater difference in bulk and weight between 200 and 260 weight garments, than there is between 150 and 200 weight; this is a relatively heavy "shirt." I believe it was designed as a running top, but you'd have to be running in very cold weather, or like to feel very warm while you run, to use it for running. I considered keeping it to wear as a jacket, but it's a very snug, athletic fit--a bit too snug to wear over another shirt even for me (and I have a reasonably trim, athletic build). Also considered using it as a sweater, but despite its relatively fine texture, it is still a bit scratchy to wear next to the skin, for me at least. Not for me, although I'm still considering ordering a size up and using it as a jacket--if the next size isn't too long for me.
Reviewed by Road Warrior from Oxford, MS on Friday, May 31, 2013I am 5' 8" 150. The small is nicely fitted. I might buy a medium also for a more casual jacket look. Very athletic look in the small. Fairly light weight. I like it a lot.
