I have three versions of the Cascade, the half zip, this full zip and also the hooded jacket in three different colors and I love them all! They are the first things I grab when I'm freezing, and nothing else, no other sweater can compare. If you layer a light wind breaking running jacket over it, y... Read More

  • “Is this washable”
Asked by Sue from NJ on 2/19/2015 6:23:13 AM
    • Yes! I accidentally splashed a stain on my brand new green IB 260 Cascade jacket the same week I bought it. Ouch! I sprayed the stain with spray 'n wash, and tossed it in the washer with the rest of my clothing on cold water wash/rinse. Hung it on a hanger to dry, and it came out good as new. I never put my Icebreaker in the dryer, just as the tag says.

    • Thanks. Good to know
Answered on 2/19/2015 7:30:32 AM by Sue from NJ
    • If you wash it in cold water and then line dry, it will always look like new. Don't put it in the dryer.

    • Yes it is washable. I machine wash it regularly. I now have four. Two new ones and two which are about 18 months old. I wear them every day in winter.

    • Don't know -- our order was for the Panther/Cerise color (a dark grey).

    • I ordered the bright green Cascade Jacket and it is exactly the color that is shown.
Answered on 1/1/2014 7:44:20 PM by Philliesnut from Kansas
    • It is more of a fuchsia than a red. There is a pattern within the fuchsia which is difficult to see but it is there, it is a swirl of a slightly darker fuchsia. It is a nice contrast. By the way only the inside of the collar is the cherub color

    • Only the inside of the collar is cherub . It's a nice contrast

    • The inside of the collar and there is a very small logo tag (appox. 1'x1') sewn on the hem below the left hand pocket.

    • I think the color I got is Panther/Cerise - it's dark grey outside and dark pink lining the collar - but whatever it is, the dark pink color is indeed on the inside of the collar only. (I thought it would be more places.) Presumably it would be the same for Panther/Cherub.

    • Feels true to size. Does not run small
Answered on 12/30/2013 2:32:08 PM by emma from northern California
    • Nope, it fits true to size. However, it is definitely Trim fit, not Classic fit the way STP describes it. Expect it to cling to your curves!

    • Yes this jacket runs small. The sleeve and body length is generous but the jacket is slim fitting. I would size up one size.
Answered on 12/31/2013 8:36:33 AM by Madskier from Seattle
    • The jacket is a slim fit as it is meant to be a base layer. I wear mine as outerwear, not base layer, so wanted something a little looser fitting so ordered a size up. I normally wear a medium but got this in a large, now I can actually wear something under it.

    • No it runs about average, which for icebreaker is larger than normal. All the more recent icebreaker clothing I have bought has been slightly larger than their previous items. That being said they do not run large by any means.

    • No this jkt does not have a hood but there is a cascade hooded version available.
Answered on 12/17/2013 10:24:45 PM by Angel hiker from Hoboken
    • It does not have a hood. It has a collar, kind of mock-turtleneck height.

    • No hood, the collar is comparable to a mock-T.
