“My wife and I have several Icebreaker garments, and they are all terrific: nice soft wool, nice workmanship, good sizing and fit. This is no exception. The wool is very soft and can be worn against the skin. The collar is thick, plush, and just the right height-- and also will lay down nicely if unzipped. The colors are stylish. The thumbholes are a nice touch, but the sleeves lay nice and flat even if you don't use the holes. Best of all: you can wear merino wool a loooong time before it takes on a stench and requires washing, and even then it can just go in your machine (lay flat to dry, though). Follow the sizing guide, and you'll get a layer that can be worn over a thin shirt or on it's own. Throw a vest or wind jacket over it, and it'll keep you warm on some pretty chilly days.”
