My wife and I have several Icebreaker garments, and they are all terrific: nice soft wool, nice workmanship, good sizing and fit. This is no exception. The wool is very soft and can be worn against the skin. The collar is thick, plush, and just the right height-- and also will lay down nicely if unzipped. The colors are stylish. The thumbholes are a nice touch, but the sleeves lay nice and flat even if you don't use the holes. Best of all: you can wear merino wool a loooong time before it takes on a stench and requires washing, and even then it can just go in your machine (lay flat to dry, though). Follow the sizing guide, and you'll get a layer that can be worn over a thin shirt or on it's own. Throw a vest or wind jacket over it, and it'll keep you warm on some pretty chilly days.

Great on moist, cool to cold days. Very soft wool. Thumb holes in the sleeves let you pull your gloves over the cuff, something that ought to be standard. I'm in northern Alaska, and I know what it takes to perform in the cold. This is it folks. Buy it, use it, love it. Order one size larger than you normally wear.

I bought this for my dad for father's day - it's a perfect gift; beautiful quality and useful for cool mountain nights. I wear my own Icebreaker all year long and I think it's the best brand out there.

The fit was good. I normally wear a large, but bought an XL (5'9' I 175 lbs). The fabric does not itch but it is not has heavy as I expected.

This Icebreaker piece, like almost everything from Icebreaker, is really beautiful, stylish, very well made, excellent fit, and extremely versatile. It's so nice looking that I mostly wear it as a classy sweater, but I love being able to use it for cold weather and working out. I bike almost every day in merino wool tops, and Icebreaker's pieces are the nicest quality and styling. I especially appreciate the heavier collar on this piece, which stands up on its own, instead of flopping down like the lighter weight zip necks. I own merino wool pieces from Patagonia, Smartwool, Arcteryx, and Terramar as well as Icebreaker. Merino wool has completely changed my approach to workout clothing, especially for winter. I believe you will find that this piece, like most merino wool items, can be worn comfortably in a much wider range of temperatures than other fabrics. This is especially useful when starting out early on a cold morning, and being able to keep wearing your wool layers as the day warms up dramatically.

I use this to keep warm in the living room as well as for running, bicycling and keeping warm out side. I wear it a lot--it's very warm but very light. One day it got 90 and I'd worn it all day. I'd sarted bicycling before 8 am and had it on at 5 pm. I think it kept me cooler than everyone else. Then I came home and bought 2 more. The thumbholes do get in the way sometimes, but not everyone will use this shirt as much as I do.

I love Icebreakers for their fantastic design and good quality, for once an item that's worth the money spent. If your into natural fibres and a funky design then this is it. I did notice that the wool knit is not as solid as the previous years 'Nomad' hoodie?? Manufacturing differences!!??, I hope the knit lasts as long as the 'nomad' did.

My husband loves all things Icebreaker, and this is no exception. Beautiful sweater. He'll wear this as a warm layer around the house more than for exercise, but it would make a great xc ski layer as well.
