Icebreaker Sport 320 Nomad Hooded Shirt - Merino Wool, Midweight, Long Sleeve (For Women)

I use the hood far more often than I had anticipated. I've been using it under a wool hat on bitterly cold XC rides and cold day bicycle commuting. My only complaint is that the torso could be about an inch longer (I'm 5'11") for me. In general, a great product. Also, note that this is definitely not skin-tight Icebreaker. I occasionally wear it on it's own, but it's best with a tank or cami underneath.

I ordered this top, not knowing what it would look like, since there is no photo posted for the colors available. I got the java/dolomite. Java is a dark brownish purple earth tone that goes with everything. Dolomite is a shade of subtle lavander. The shirt is solid Java with dolomite trim around the hood. I was very pleased with the color arrangement, since I am not into stripes. The hood fits snuggly around my face and even fits over a thin hat nicely. I love the high neck, zipped or unzipped. The shirt fits loosely so it can fit over layers. You could easily order a size smaller, if you want a trimmer fit. Simply, lovely.

This is veeery cute. I prefer it to the non hooded ones. Ordered one size up, as always with icebreaker. The model that shows it on the icebreaker sites must have worn one size down, so it looks as if the hood were narrow, which it is not. I'm 5'5, and the large is nice and loose but not too loose. The face mask seals off nicely in cold conditions. Sleeves are long, I like that. If you zip it all the way up, it looks like oh-my-god-they-killed-kenny, very cute. If you zip it all the way up but leave the hood down, it makes a good looking turtleneck, light and warm. Looks good with any position of the zipper. The mysterious Java color is two shades of dark purplish plum that fit anything, the bone color is a very light, cold grey with a slight touch of the java purple, so that it fits anything except a warm off-white. I like both colors very much. This is one of the shirts where I would order two of the same color, maybe I'll even do it. It is slightly larger cut than the 260 weight long sleeve shirts without hood, so that these two layer nicely if you order the same size.
