Icebreaker Superfine 150 Meridian Base Layer Top - Merino Wool, Short Sleeve (For Women)

This shirt is is excellent for both casual and active wear. The colors are vibrant and I liked the selection so much that I bought one in each color. I typically size up in most Icebreaker tops to a large, but this top fits me perfectly in a medium. The v-neck is flattering - not too low, and not too high. Icebreaker's merino wool has a silky (non-itchy) feel and holds its color perfectly wash after wash (unlike many cotton tops).

Bought this shirt for hiking and working out. I get sweaty while hiking and then get chilled once I stop to rest or shed clothing. This is the first shirt that prevents that and seems to hold body heat in without being too hot. Material is comfortable and looks great too. would definately recommend!

I originally had a pink version of this top, and loved it for my gym workouts. When I ordered a black one I had no idea I'd be so much MORE pleased! I wore this shirt for three days straight, including under a glitzy cardigan for a fancy meal, on top of jeans, and finally to the gym. They say that you dont have to wash wool as often as other material, and I was skeptical, but this shirt truly holds up! Dressier than a ''normal' shirt, but high performing. Am looking forward to layering in the winter for ski season, too.

I was introduced to Icebreaker by a New Zealander. He said that is all they wear there as the weather can change in an instant, they layer and the merino wool goes from hot to cold comfortably. I am building up a wardrobe to take with me on my trip to New Zealand this winter. In the meantime, I will be wearing the clothes for exercise, yoga, on a Saturday when I want to still look good, and for comfortable meditation clothes.

Wearing this in hot weather to keep cool. Does not show sweat during workouts. Previous experience with Icebreaker merino shirts has taught me to hand wash or to avoid pairing with zippered clothing in the washing machine.
