Icebreaker Superfine 150 Pisa Dress - Merino Wool (For Women)

I wear this even in winter with other icebreaker over the top and leggings or boots. In summer, just put on your sandals and you are set to go. Icebreaker has great quality.

I am not a lady who goes without a supportive brassiere, so I was pretty skeptical of how this dress would work out. Shelf bra? Ha! Those never work for my girls. Why did I order it? Because I desperately wanted a wool travel dress, and the price on this one was right. I already love IceBreakers clothing. I took the risk. If I were a beach-goer, this would make a nice cover up to throw on over a swimsuit. I even tried it on bra-less, and, while I feel inadequately supported this way, I don't think the look was indecent. And, finally, the way I'm most likely to wear this is over a thin, fitted top as a jumper. That worked for me, too. I tried this in two sizes. Icebreakers are often quite fitted, being outdoorsy/technically-oriented. In this dress, however, I found the XL much too big at the armholes. Since my weight is in the bust and hips, and the top is adjustable and the hip is swingy, my size 12/14 self fit much better in a Large.

I usually wear a medium in Icebreaker, however based on other reviews I ordered a small and medium. (with such easy returns at Sierra Trading Post,why not?) The medium was a bit baggy on top, and swallowed me on bottom. The small fit perfectly. I am bigger busted, and usually can't rely on a built in shelf bra, but was suprised at how supportive this dress was.

I liked the quality of the fabric and really wanted the dress to work, but for the price of merino wool, it just didn't make the fit cut. The dress fit like a nightgown, with no shaping, but the fabric is light and thin, which is good for a summer dress and I'll keep looking at the Icebreaker brand for future items that have a more classy fit.
