I ordered this dress in both the stripe and red colors and loved them both. I wore the striped one for a date night w/ hubby recently and loved it, that is until I washed it. This item, as well as a few others that I ordered, doesn't not look like it did new after washing. The raw edges around the seams at the neck, sleeves and hem start looking "raw". However, the biggest problem is the hem. There is an extra strip of fabric in the seam at the hem that appears to "curl up" so that the hem appears to have a cord running through it and does not lay flat. I tried ironing it but it's impossible to iron the internal fabric flat. I will admit that I am "picky" about how my clothes look. If you're not picky, it may not bother you, but I'm not sure I'll keep the dresses given this. I did call Icebreaker about the problem and their only solution was to iron it. Again, that didn't appear to take care of the problem. On another note, sizing for this company is off and inconsistant. This is the only brand that I have ever had to order up a size in most of their products. At 5'6" 130 lbs I ended up keeping the medium to allow for a less clingy fit. It did appear to shrink a bit as well after washing (following the mfg recommendation). Again, it is a lovely dress and I love the concept of washable wool; however, some minor changes would greatly improve this item.

I have also worn this with knee high boots to party. I get noticed and complimented each time I wear it. I am 5'6, 125 lbs, larger cup size and the medium fit me perfect.

I love the red color and the cut is flattering on me (I am tall and slender), but the material is so thin that you can see every undergarment line. Plus, it is a little bit itchy so if you have sensitive skin, avoid. Unfortunately I will be returning this dress.

Reviewed by Archaeologist from Knoxville TN on Friday, September 28, 2012The past reviews made me feel when I ordered this dress that I was gambling... would it be too large? Too tight? I have a hippy hourglass figure. I was right on the cusp of M/L, and ordered an L. Turned out it was a perfect body skimming fit on my hips, but too large on my top. The top was baggy and looked sloppy. I was bummed. Then I remembered, I can sew. So, I pulled out my sewing machine and gently sewed up the side seams from the waist to the armhole. Now it fits perfectly. Yay! Hoping this will be a perfect travel dress. I have already worn it as a fun date/going-out-to-picnic dress. If you have a wide waist/hip difference, you may need to take in the top unless you are also very busty (I'm busty too but apparently not enough for the Large size.) Word to others: the red fabric is kind of thin. I cannot wear dark underwear or it shows through.
