Reviewed by Dave from the foothills on Saturday, May 18, 2013After falling hard on my icy deck, I have been looking for a slip-on shoe with extra traction. Our decks, steps and paved surfaces get iced up every winter and I am hoping that the Icebug shoes will be the answer. They are light weight, slip-on with a zipper up the front, so they will be perfect to leave in the mudroom for a quick change. I have an 11.5 shoe size and they seem to fit correctly.

A test run in my new Icebugs proved them worthy of the task. They also make downhills much more secure. An added blessing is comfort with no break-in period. I did need to add an insert for arch support. They are super lightweight. I bought a half size larger which fit perfectly. They are definitely for hiking, not road walking, where you can hear the little spikes crunching on the macadam. I look forward to wearing these on an extended trek this summer.
