Icelandic Design Chamonix Saga Sweater (For Women)

This is the second Icelandic sweater which we have purchased from Sierra and are very pleased with the [...] products which we have received.

Icelandic Design sweaters are invariably made well; some are lined, and the workmanship and materials are high in quality. This sweater reverses the black-on-white of the body to white-on-black for the sleeves, and the bright colors at the neck and cuffs perk up the black and white and draw attention to the face and hands. The sweater makes the prospect of winter in Minnesota almost attractive. Thank you, Sierra, for carrying excellent brands at reasonable prices. Now where are the winter clothes from David Brooks and Woolrich, and shoes from Clark and Born? (I'm writing in August, 2009 and hoping you will have new stock from these companies soon.)

Nice lining makes this very comfortable. It could be longer but works as is. I've gotten many compliments on this sweater.

I have had many complements on this sweater. Since I wear black pants alot, it is perfect for just about any occasion...with a turtle neck especially, as I live in upstate New York. Brrrrr. Friends want to know where I bought this sweater, so I tell them and hope I am sending some business your way.

Poor heft to the sweater -- NOT what one expects from an icelandic sweater. Skimpy rayon lining that will rip easily! Beautiful colors but not a longterm worthwhile investment even at 1/2 off the original price.

I have the orange one and I like the color and sleeve detail.

Will use this for going out. Could certainly use this for office/work wear, but since I raise horses it really wouldn't be appropriate for my type of everyday work. Love the style & colors of the black & white, I already had purchased the red and because of the difference in the color combos, the designs look fairly different too. I have fairly broad shoulders & 38D and can zip with no problems or pulling, which is very rare. It is nicely lined, and although not the quality of Dale of Norway, it is still very nice and I am pleased to have gotten this.

really fine workmanship, beautiful colors, and not too heavy. however the sizes run large. i am 5'10", 135 pounds and ordered a large. the sleeves are the perfect length, the shoulders are good, but the body is huge. since it is completely lined and designed to be a fitted garment - back it goes. bummer, cuz these are now sold out in my size!

I will use this beautiful sweater mainly as an overjacket. The design & colors are such that it can be worn over several different colors, with slacks or jeans. And the great thing is the size L, my usual size, will zip over 38D bust just fine. The sleeves seem to run a little long, but turning them up into a cuff works fine and because of the design, looks like it was made to be worn that way.

Love it, bought it in both colors. I've had several compliments on the black and white one in particular.
