    I can wear the tails loose or, for a warmer wear, tuck the tails inside my coat. Keeps the ear flaps snugger. There isn't a need to tie them around your neck. Hat is warm and lightweight! I wear it for walking, shoveling, geocaching,and any other winter activity.
