This a great inflatable once you figure out inflatable procedure.
Reviewed by kc from Texas on Thursday, August 22, 2013I just tried this over the weekend and am way impressed. It tracks pretty well for inflatable and is lots of fun. It would take a broad shouldered person to heave it around as a backpack, however.
Good quality. I couldn't tell what made it a "2nd"
Reviewed by crazyacctant from Boston on Friday, May 17, 2013This is a great little kayak. I have little experience but wanted something that my kids and I could do together that involved excersize and fun. I found it! We had a blast taking it out on a lake. It was super easy to blow up, my kids did the whole thing. I don't know if someone would really carry it as a back pack as it is kind of heavy but it is very convenient. Love this product. Am considering the 3 man one next!!

Answer It is not self bailing.
Question “The overview and specs make no mention of the 'floor' of the boat. Is it a separate insert that is also inflatable or otherwise? How is the rigidity of the boat set up (ie - through inflatable means or rigid bottom, and are the inflating parts of the hull and sides encased/zipped in a sturdy outer 'sleeve' that allows for rigid sides or not.”
Answer The floor also inflates. The kayak is made of 840 denier nylon, tri-laminated 500 denier PVC tarpaulin. Once properly inflated the kayak is fairly rigid.
