    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    This blouse is not as transparent as you might think but enough so that it's better as a layer over something. The construction is fair: the front placket liner tends to ravel. The sleeves are loose bells, it would be easy to shorten them. Rolling them isn't that attractive because of the pattern. I liked the pattern but the background color, not so much, so in spite of the "dryclean only" label I dyed it red with cold-water dye and it is now a Wow color. Both the base and the velvet part take the dye about equally. I'm only "not recommending it to a friend" because a lot of them don't know how to do this, they'd have to like the original color.

    I thought the material was ugly and had a very weird feel to it. It was sheer in places and thick and fuzzy in other places. Apart from that, I liked the fit of the shirt.

    What beautiful embellishments are woven into this shirt! I was concerned the sleeves might have been too long because I really need petites in that case. These are more 3/4 sleeves and I think they'll fit any length arm. I will wear it to the Philharmonic the next time we get free tickets. I will get noticed. It looks like it comes from a fancy Naples botique. I will probably wear a camisole under it.

    This is a great-looking shirt with a dramatic flair. The textured fabric appears as though it would be somewhat see-through, but it's not really revealing--a plus in my book.
