Soft material, excellent fit, durable and well made, the only complaint is that the pocket for your cell phone inside is barely too small (I have a Nokia Icon). I am 6'4" tall, 190 lbs, and the large fits great, with room for any layering you may choose to do.
this coat is a real treat, and I can't say enough about it, and the fantastic STP price I paid for it-icing on my cake!! -

I'm 5'10 and 190lbs, and the large is more than ample. For a shirt-jacket fit I might even size down to a medium.
The quality is excellent, as you might expect from a Red Wing licensee.
Some details not included in the STP description are that:
(1) the jacket has an inside breast pocket on the right, an inside phone/electronics pocket on the left, and
(2) that the shoulder yoke panel is cut long (to below the armpits) and is vented (ie the bottom edge of the yoke is vented to the nylon jacket liner)
I like it very much, but am wondering whether to size down.
