After about 5 months I've worn this boot in snow,wet fields and even simple hiking. They are completely water proof as well. Extremely comfortable and able to wear them all day. They lace/tighten up well and are not bulky. Easy on and off too. Forefoot allows for extra room even with thicker socks. 400 grams thinsulate is nice for cooler weather. Strictly field and hunting may be best with an un-insulated boot. Red Wing has always been top quality and my dad wore them every day too. Cannot go wrong with this boot!
