“Good shoe for casual use”

“This is a comfortable walking shoe but not built for backpacking or hiking. Insole is removable/replaceable which is a nice feature - appears to be fairly good quality but allows an upgrade to improve fit/cushioning. Outsole is flexible for comfortable walking and has a fairly aggressive tread that shouldn't hold mud in it like a hiking boot tread. My planned use is for an overseas vacation - we tend to do a lot of walking - and it won't label me as an "American" wearing these shoes like a white jogging-type walking shoe does. I prefer an ankle-high shoe for any walking outdoors because it keeps the sand and pebbles out.”
