• Best as a mid layer

The boiled wool is the the main attraction here - it's very warm, and has a great texture. I got "charcoal," which is almost imperceptibly lighter than Ivanhoe's "black." (If it were a bit lighter in color, that would be an improvement.) I have a somewhat athletic build and the chest was snug but adequate. The mid section was slightly looser, but it's definitely best for slim builds. It seems also that the pattern might have been changed slighly since the STP photo was taken and since the other reviews on here were written: I have somewhat long arms but the sleeves were more than adequate in length and I wear them rolled up a couple of inches. Also, compared to the STP photo, the length of the garment is longer in relation to the sleeves. I think the shape of the garment and the lack of pockets makes it most suitable for layering and I plan to wear it under a charcoal heather car coat on winter trips to colder locations.
