Ivanhoe Merino Wool Balaclava - Lightweight (For Men and Women)

I sent this ro my husband in Afghanastan to protect him against the harsh elements. He loves it.

Excellent quality, soft, wicking, warm etc... BUT weird fit. You can wear this balaclava pulled down so that your face is open to weather and neck, throat and chin are covered or you pull up the lower half of it to cover nose & mouth BUT then throat & neck are bare. So what I think I will do is sew a piece of polar fleece on front of it cuz I do really like it. When its cold and windy I like my face , neck and throat covered .

This balaclava is extermely soft and light weight. It has unbelieveable stretch, since I can wear it and I wear a size 3x helmet when I snowmobile. It also fits my wife who wears a medium size helmet. Plan to buy a few more of these.

i got this balaclava because i always prefer natural materials over synthetic. however i was disappointed with the style and could not wear it on my ski trip. normal balaclavas have quite enough length from chin down, but this was very short, not covering you properly in the neck are. you either have to open your face and cover your neck, or you have to cover your nose and mouth and wear something else for your neck. so i ended up wearing my ski hat and my good old synthetic neck warmer instead.
