Fabric is nice and dense, and blocks wind relatively well. I have worn it over a t-shirt on breezy 45 degree days and been comfortable. I got a women's version for a friend for next Christmas. -

Ivanhoe's boiled wool fits that bill and they always have such crafted clothing. Hopefully, this one will last as long as the 20-year-old one that finally gave up the ghoast.

A word of warning: this hoodie is NOT for tall men with a long waist... the sleeves were ok but the length was a little too short for me. (6'4", slim build)
