I have never owned a more comfortable and good-fitting baselayer. I am 5'6", 135 pounds, and small fits me just right! Besides the great fit, you get all the benefits of having a wool baselayer: thermo-regulation, odor regulation, and it is warm when wet! You can also literally wear it for a straight week backpacking without washing it: just hang it and let it air for a bit. Perfection!

    • Cons: Slightly Itchy At First
    • Describe Yourself: Casual, Hiker
    • Pros: Comfortable, Does Not Hold Odor, Great Color, Lightweight, Perfect Fit, Quality Materials, Versatile, Warm

The brand name is right on the shoulder and is very visible, which I don't like. If I were only going to wear this as a base layer, it seems like a fine shirt of good quality, but I was hoping for something I could wear on its own. I decided to return it.

  • Question “How does the size run on this product. I'm a smaller guy with a muscular fit that usually fall in the 40-42 range.”
Asked on 9/10/2010 12:00:00 AM by Darin from Minneapolis, MN
    • Answer It is naturally going to be slightly tight as a base layer so you may want to go up a size.
Answered on 9/10/2010 12:00:00 AM by Customer Care from Sierra Trading Post
    • Answer I'd say the sizes run a little large on these. However, they fit snug and are not constricting in any way. Mine bunch up on me a bit but it doesn't affect the comfort at all and they are comfortable.

    • Answer I am 5'10" 190lb 45" chest, long arms. Large fit perfect.|Thumb holes are an excellent feature, adding 4"-5" to sleeve length.|Body length could be a bit longer but stays tucked in.|If in doubt, order a size up.
