I've owned this in a COVERLET for 5 years. It fits perfectly on a CA. KING (Longer, less width) with a 3 inch memory foam layer, but without a pillow mattress top. It is on a bed that is infrequently used. It stays on throughout the yr. and has been washed on delicate 4 times. It shows some wear and tear on the top satin area when you inspect up close, but hardly noticeable and still looks nice. The bottom side is cotton and attracts a lot of lint. I would recommend dry-clean only (None available in area) I bought THE ABOVE COMFORTER for winter. The colors are the same as the coverlet; varied, muted, and match my eggplant carpet, maroon and rust wall art, and cinnamon-stained headboard. I was thrilled to find the same style/colors in a Winter comforter as well as the bedskirt and King shams. The fill seems adequate and there were only a few loose strings. Sewing of channels is not perfect but seams don't show unless you look hard, backing is NOT 100% cotton like the coverlet, I would have preferred cotton over the cheap (i.e. - does not feel great) poly/blend that is also used on the bedskirt and back of shams. The satin on the top side feels nice. It has not been washed yet. My complaints which make this a 4 star, are: #1 - It would be 6-7inches too short in width if put on the pillow-top king beautyrest black mattress that we normally sleep on. When are manufacturers going to start making their King comforters the correct size for pillow top mattresses? And ANY King beds, for that matter. (Except the narrower Ca. King) It seems we always have to order King for our Queen beds as well, especially if made in China and India. Now they are classifying them as Over-sized so they can charge more. - NO - they are normal sized, at least here in America. #2 - Cheaper material used in backings and bedskirt. I would gladly pay more for a King Comforter set that fits in width and length and is made of quality materials!
