I really wanted to like this jacket, but the fit was just not right for me. I have tried a number of Jack Victor jackets and suits, and most have fit me quite well. Their 46L usually fits me about right, but I swam in this 46L. The shoulder seems a little generous, and I had inches of room in front of my belly when buttoned, and I'm not entirely without a gut myself. I tried the 44, and it was almost perfect in the shoulders, but too tight across the belly. I could have made the 46L work, but it would have taken fairly extensive tailoring, so I passed. That said, the Loro Piana fabric of this jacket looked fabulous, though I suspect that it would have been somewhat prone to wrinkling. It was fairly sheeny and dressy looking, so it might not dress down quite as much as other, plainer-looking blue blazers. I really did like the iridescent crimson lining though, and if it had fit a little more naturally, I'd have been quite happy to keep it.
