I've tried on and bought a number of Jack Victor jackets and suits, most of which have fit me pretty well and have pleased me with nice executed construction details and pleasing fabrics. This one just didn't do it for me, mostly because the tones and pattern of the plaid didn't fully agree with me. Similar to other JV offerings, I thought the finish and overall construction was nice. I happen to be a fan of the way the interior is constructed with the strip of outside-material fabric that reinforces the main interior pocket opening - to me that's a cool detail. But the fit was a bit off for me -- cut a little too portly maybe, so it would have taken significant alteration. Coupled with the fact that the fabric's look and pattern just didn't excite me, I decided it wasn't the jacket that would force me to try to shoehorn another brown-toned plaid into my closet. I passed and sent it back, which is an opportunity to crow about my total satisfaction with Sierra's return policy and procedures. Sierra definitely has outstanding values on brand-name stuff I want. But its the fact that I have total confidence in my ability to get satisfaction with my orders that cements my longstanding relationship with Sierra.
