Reviewed by Matt the endurance coach from Idaho on Tuesday, January 7, 2014Wanted a warm pair of everyday gloves. All of my other gloves are performance orientated and wanted to have gloves that would simply keep my hands warm under walking around conditions. So far so good. A few strands have come loose, but I am hard on all types of clothing.
Reviewed by Valerie/teacher from TN on Wednesday, January 1, 2014Purchased 4 pairs for 3 sons and my husband. Realizing winter has just began, fingertips needed to be covered. One son uses public transportation and he LOVES them. In fact, his hands got sooo warm he had to take them off briefly. Another son rides his bike for transportation and he NEVER leaves home without them. The last son lives on campus and wears his gloves every day the temp falls below 30 degrees. My husband had a pair of gloves with the fingers cut off and he realized that his hands were cold while walking our dog. His hands aren't cold anymore using these mitten-gloves.
I love that they are made from recycled items. I may purchase a pair for myself if any are left. :)
Reviewed by Rob from New York on Monday, May 27, 2013This is a neat product but when it is in "mitten" mode, it is quite clumbsy to use your hands. I have a pair of Jacob Ash EcoRagg regular gloves that do fit a little bit better than these. Lastly, I do not know how long these will last as the material is not as tightly woven as my other gloves.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by The Bell ringer from Chesapeake VA on Thursday, February 17, 2011I wear them in the cold weather and my hands are warm but when I need to use my fingers or have more control over what I'm doing, I don't have to remove my glove/mittens, just pull back the mitten top and use my fingers for whatever I need. Thank you. The thumb wears out first. Thank you for making them so warm and useful.

Verified Buyer Reviewed by Bill from Washington, DC on Saturday, February 12, 2011light, comfortable, and well lined. But the tops of two finger holes started unravelling within a week. There's some pilling of the rag wool in the palms, too. Finally, the mitten 'cap' has stretched a fair bit already, so that it sits a bit too loosely atop the fingers when the gloves are in 'mitten' mode.
- Best Uses: Cold Weather
- Cons: Wears Out Quickly
- Describe Yourself: Practical
- Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living
- Pros: Lightweight, Warm
Answer There is a velcro patch that is on the top that keeps the mitten back.
