These gloves fit snugly and are very warm, even in cold winds. The grippy dots help you hold onto stuff, even icy stuff.
I thought these would make great "goalie" gloves...alas, I wax nostalgic. Sierra Trdg has THE best closeouts!

Well, they fit reasonably well. I'm not happy with the end of the thumbs though. The material length for my fingers are just right, but the thumbs are too long. It looks like they both have their own papal tiaras. I haven't tested them in the cold and wet yet. Maybe the performance will make up for the poor fit.

Before I get into this glove rating, you need to know that I generally have cold fingers in most gloves. The name of this one, "Hot Shot Torch" seemed to be the answer to my ongoing problem but they were not.

First off, the fit was snug and my initial impression was that they may be the end to my search for the toastiest glove.

However, the first weakness appeared shortly after walking around with them: The thumb liner and the exterior did not align. This resulted in the outer layer being about 1/2 inch longer and the extra material sort of hanging above my thumb. So even though I considered I needed to have ape thumbs, I still thought the design would be good enough.

The second problem came after my first ride down a 1/2 stretch of sustained downhill. The "windproof" part seemed to work as I felt no wind, but my hands seemed to be getting colder. In fact, upon taking them off, my hands seemed to start warming up again. I've had this problem with _____proof gloves before so it may be the whole idea of windproofing the fingers: Your fingers don't breathe so the clamminess makes them cold(er).

You may have better results than me due to my overall physiology, but I sent these back and will continue my search.

These gloves are great. I wear them when the temps dip below 20 F, and they keep my fingers plenty warm, without being bulky. The grip is super grippy, and it doesn't wear off of the glove easily. These are a great deal!
