The short version: very stretchy, seems warm and a great value. Sizing seems to run so that it won't be ideal for small. On the negative side - a minor point - on reviewer notes points on the top and this is true, though no more excessive than most knit hats of this sort.

Last winter I got a black knit hat without really caring who made it. It was cold. I needed a hat. I didn't want wool and I didn't want it to scratch. I found an acrylic hat at a local store and loved it. Great for the snow, wind, and cold. This year I decided on a new blue hat to match my jacket and Sierra had Jacob Ash hats on sale at great price. When I looked at the label of the hat I already loved, yup, it was Jacob Ash. No brainer, got a new one. They're very warm, light, stuff in your pocket hats...and they're NOT made of wool!

When I took this out of the box, thought there was no way it would be warm because it is so lightweight. Wrong. It effectively keeps out the cold and when not on your head, readily fits in a pocket to keep it handy.
