Understanding these are Ragg wool, they seem to have a lot of material making the fit warm but bulky. Would have liked to see them use magnets for the pop-top versus Velcro but it works. The wrist area is tight for those that wear watches.

These are pretty much exactly what I was looking for. They're warm and they give my fingers freedom of motion when I'm out walking the dog. My only complaint is that because the thumb remains covered even when the top is popped, I don't have as much dexterity as I would like. There's really not much that can be done about this, though, so it's hard to fault the gloves too much.

Granted, my fingers and toes are more cold-sensitive now that I'm "older". However, these "glittens" just don't cut the mustard. I have some fleece gloves that claim 40g of Thinsulate that are warmer than these wool gloves/mittens. For me, there is simply no staying warm. I really want to like these, as I need to be able to use an uncovered finger to manipulate my camera and take pictures, but these are only good for when there is a little chill in the air - not for when it is actually cold.

I purchased and then used these gloves recently while canoeing down the Rio Grande. Unfortunately I got pulled into the river in a spot where we were trying to line some rapids and got completely soaked. I had these gloves on, and while they remained wet after ringing them out my hands stayed warm until I could get to camp and make a fire.
Con: While I like the leather palms they can be a bit cumbersome when trying to do fine tuned things like tie knots...
There is a velcro patch on the top of the glove to fold the mitten back onto.

Velcro! The Velcro seems as if it will not hold well from looks, but it has so far for me!

The mitten part is insulated. Pull on the end of the mitten part and then it folds back. Small square of velcro on the back of the hand and the end of the mitten keep it secure. Womens gloves have a button and loop.

I am also a woman - and they tend to run small for men. I prefer a little room in the gloves in case I want to double glove

They're about 4 1/2 or 5 inches across and 7 1/2 or 8 inches from heel to glove cutoff. They ended up being entirely too big for me, sadly.

I ordered these under my husbands name but they are for me. They are much too large for my hands, and I can wear a mens medium glove with little problem. I would not buy these gloves again, not only because of the sizing, but mostly because of the poor quality, and I am not a picky person.
