These gloves will be used for skiing in the Utah mtns. The price is excellent. About sizing: The M (for 8-9 year olds) was way too big; the S (for 6-7 year olds) fits better. Lucy's hand is 5 1/2" around, her longest finger (middle) is 2 1/2" long. The gloves are long in the fingers but workabl...

Bought these for my grandson, who is 10 years old, in a large. They do appear to look a little small although he has not tried them on yet. They are tight on my hand and I wear a women's size 7. If they don't fit my younger grandson will grow in to them so I plan to keep them.
Gloves are a good deal for the price, look well made. Have not had a chance to use them so we will have to see how they hold up, how warm they are come winter.

Was very impressed with these gloves. I suspect they'll last through more than one child, but we got them at the end of the season so won't know anything for sure until next year. But they seemed very well made, very warm, and they had a really nice palm that will provide good grip even in wet snowy conditions.

Our 8 yr old lost several pairs of gloves and no stores online or otherwise sell them this late in the season. These were just the ticket and fit him great and weren't too small like so many kids' gloves are. Also, you can write your kid's name on the red stripe--unlike all black gloves.
Shipping was fast and cheap too! Thank you for saving my son's fingers from frostbite!
To measure your hand size correctly, measure the widest part of your hand (excluding your thumb), generally around the knuckles.|Visit our sizing charts here for information on how to measure and what sizes will fit you best:|http://www.sierratradingpost.com/lp2/SizeChart.html

The small is a bit large on my 5yo, the medium fits my 8yo, and the large fits my 11yo, all girls (and the 5yo's hands are small for her age). Hope that helps!

The sizing for the kids was spot on with just alittle room for growth, but having an adjustable wrist band helped.
