I'll probably keep them since the $5 shipping to exchange them is really close to the value of the gloves, but I don't expect them to last an entire winter.

Reviewed by Kansas sue from Kansas on Friday, March 22, 2013My boys wore these for skiing in Colorado this week and while they seem to be fairly warm gloves, they are NOT waterproof. At all. And, once wet they're difficult to get turned inside out and dried.

Answer The small is a bit large on my 5yo, the medium fits my 8yo, and the large fits my 11yo, all girls (and the 5yo's hands are small for her age). Hope that helps!
