    Eight-year-old Lucy had a chance this week to wear these skiing in single-digit, wind chill conditions; her hands got cold, used hand warmers. I don't believe there would have been a glove warm enough for the conditions; my hands were cold & I have expensive, expensive mitts. Please refer to my other reviews for sizing. She loves the dexterity she has with these gloves.

    This is an update on a previous review. Lucy had not worn these yet at the first review; she wore them skiing yesterday & loved everything about them. She could grip the ski poles easily & liked that you can use the thumb to dry off goggles. Please see my 1st review regarding sizing.

    Oops, I guess my 1st review on these gloves didn't go through. Sizing: Lucy is 8, the small is her size even though they are long in the fingers. Her hand is 5 1/2" around, her longest finger is 2 1/2" long. The S says is for a 6-7 year old, she's 8. Please use my measurements to decide what size your child needs. I wish I'd had some measurements to go on when purchasing.

    These gloves will be used for skiing in the Utah mtns. The price is excellent. About sizing: The M (for 8-9 year olds) was way too big; the S (for 6-7 year olds) fits better. Lucy's hand is 5 1/2" around, her longest finger (middle) is 2 1/2" long. The gloves are long in the fingers but workable. She has petite hands for an 8 year old. I hope this sizing info helps.

    I bought these for my daughter. She seemed to like them just fine but she managed to get them sopping wet once and it took forever for the insides to dry. Because the fingers were so small I couldn't really turn them inside out to dry. I laid them out on top of the heating unit but it still took a nearly two days to completely dry. Otherwise a decent product.
