I was looking for something waterproof and warm that would keep my kids hands warm while they are out playing in the snow for hours. These are perfect! Size XS for my 2 year old, size S for my 5 year old. Can't go wrong. Plus, you can't beat the price!

I purchased the Jacob Ash Waterproof Ski Mittens for my five year-old grandson. They are well made and he loves wearing them. They fit his small hands perfectly, but he does require a little help putting them on. I feel better knowing his hands are well protected from cold and snow balls. Now, if we can just keep them from getting lost - I realize I should have bought two pair. Another excellent product and value from Sierra Trading Post.

My 5 and 6 year old boys love these mittens and use them regularly. We have many pairs now because they continue to last and the boys always choose these over others. I've now ordered more three winters in a row.

I feel your frustration, that's why I included my son's age along with the size. He is a small guy, 6 years old, and the small gloves fit him perfectly. I may have ordered a medium so he had room to grow. So I would say the small is appropriate for a large 4 year old up to a small 6 year old.

These run true to size. I measured my daughter's hand, compared it to the charts on the web site and they fit as expected. Hope that helps.

They run pretty true to size - they measure from top to very end 6 1/2 inches. From the elastic around the wrist to the end of the fingertip part they are 5 inches. They were big on my 3 year old granddaughter but they were all we could find - since they have some elastic around the wrist they stayed on fine and were usable - she will be able to use them at least next year and maybe even the year after that. I would think most 6 year olds would fit into them but maybe without extra room depending on the size of the 6 year old.
