Like my 2 other JAMBU sport wedge sandals it is very true to size, with a tiny bit of wiggle room for those times when your feet might swell a bit. The sport wedge is just the right angle and cradles your foot. No slipping forward, no pressure on the ball of your foot and no hideous and potentially deforming toe scrunch due to the upturned toe area. The straps that go over the top of your foot are elastic for a custom fit yet do not pinch or dig into your foot. A Velcro closure makes for easy on and off and is generous enough for ankles up to about 11 inches in my estimation my ankles are 10 inches and there is plenty of room Another thing I like is that my toes don't come out between the straps. The muted olive color goes with pretty much everything. The footbed is soft and comfortable even for my brutally painful feet and I can walk for several hours in these shoes despite 2 ankle surgeries. Another think that strikes me when I look at these shoes is how well made they are. They feel a bit heavier than some shoes but they are actually quite light. This is because they are not flexible and are very solid and substantial. Soft, flexible shoes are not always in the best interests of your feet! When you walk the rocking motion propels you forward and eases pressure on knees, ankles and back. If you compare these shoes to wellness shoes such as Dansko and Sanita whch are approved by the American Podiatric association, you will find a very similar footbed and shape. Try these shoes. Your feet, back, knees, legs and wardrobe will thank you! If yu have never tried JAMBU shoes, I highly recommend startig with this pair

Loved them from the first moment I put them on: they were instantly comfortable and feel like walking in ballet slippers. If you're usually a half size, definitely go UP to the next size. CONS: the straps get really dirty (I live in dusty Santa Fe NM) and the innersoles, attached only at the heel, tend to pull out when you remove your feet after a day of wearing the shoes. Also the innersoles get rather funky (dirty and even a little smelly) more quickly than I would have expected; the company does not recommend washing them and, instead, offers replacement innersoles which are rather costly. I chose to live with the funk & made lavender-filled sachets to stuff into them between wearings. All in all, an incredibly comfortable and very cute shoe.

I haven't had a chance to try the out in the water yet but...I look forward to playing with the children in our brook this upcoming season in them! They are very cute & functional. I like having some toe protection as well.

I never liked the block foot feel of the Uggs and the suede didn't do well in our Midwest winters. I chose the Jambu's because they looked less bulky and the fold down fleece/knit shaft was really cute. These boots really deliver! They are warm and soft. Easy to put on and much more sleek (if a boot can really be sleek) than the Uggs. The price at STP was incredible too. Shipping was quick. The whole experience was great.
