I've only done an inside test so far. Hooked up a 220g fuel canister to it. Lit up with a lighter (I know, kind of wish they had the piezo starter on these) but it took off. Not a lot of tuning available on the adjustment knob- you're pretty much 0-100 so boiling it works great. Slow cooking a stew? Probably not. However, the pot it comes with is large enough that you could pan sear meat, fish or veggies which is nice. I boiled 1 liter of water in just over 1 minute. If that's not fast enough, then you've got issues.
Everything fits into the pot including my 220g fuel canister- it's about the size of a large tupperwear, not very heavy at all. Will definitely fit in my day pack. The pot lid and flux-ring protector also double as plates. Gnar!

I have not used this product in a camping/hiking situation yet but I did set it up inside and cooked out of it. It worked really well and I am excited about using it this weekend. Gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the burner does not have a flame ignitor on it like the jet boil flash does.

I purchased this Jet Boil to use backpacking but it is too large and takes up too much space. I returned the the stove and ask for a refund. This Jet Boil would be great for truck camping but backpackers can't take just anything along.
