“Classic, quality jacket”

“I've been looking for something more tailored and better material than my functional "modern" but unavoidably goofy looking, boxy, poly, bright yellow rain jacket. And this looks like it'll fit the bill just fine. Waxed cotton gets the job done, but doesn't feel like you're in a plastic garbage bag. Classy tailored style looks somewhat vintage, which I like and prefer. Nice dark tartan lining. Solid construction. I'd read the reviews on the collar ahead of time, so wasn't surprised. I have a very lean, long neck - so figured I could get away with it. But just barely! I still have nearly an inch gap up front when up and comfortably buckled shut. A strange oversight in design and a shame cause the collar up looks great. I'll still be wearing it up, but would advise others to take the caution seriously - or be content to wear the collar down, which would be fine under most conditions anyway. All told, a fine jacket. You can imagine yourself walking the moors in it. Or stylishly putting back a pint in a warm pub.”
