“I bought my first Glover sweater in London, in the early 80's, so I knew what to expect: they're big and bulky, all about the cable stitching... they wear you, and not the other way around. So this model does nothing for your figure either but it's warm and practical and oddly attractive. A great piece for shivery early spring mornings and windy late fall days when you want something substantial around you ... I can't see this for indoor wear, although others recommend it for lounging ... seems like you would stretch the seat with all that sitting! It's a heavy piece for home or office. (I live in the cold northeast, where winter days hover at 15-degrees and I still wouldn't wear this piece indoors) This is meant for country walks and running errands -- something about the way it closes firmly around the body that gives it a brisk outdoor air. You could toss it in your suitcase for a get-away weekend, and wear it morning noon and night. (Then, it doubles as a robe!) Love the color, love the fit (I'm a 12, medium's perfect). Softer than other Glover-made merinos I've owned. One huge drawback: NO POCKETS...”
