Peregrine by J.G. Glover Watch Cap - Merino Wool (For Men and Women)

I bought this cap in blue to mimic a WW2 US NAVY watch cap and for [$] it fits the bill. The crown is sewn in 4 points (not 6) but if you get it wet and shape it to your head it smooths out. Mine was tagged 100% merino -- maybe older versions were a blend. Cap is also double layered but thin layers so this cap doesn't look bulky like the $10 surplus store caps.

I plan on using this to travel too and from work and some hiking. Its been very useful.

Bought this to wear at work(UPS driver).First time I wore it was a cold windy day.I could feel the wind through the thin wool.Would have to wear two of these to be warm.Keep looking.

The hat is the typical watch cap design, although rather than having a tubular knit construction and seems at the top where the cap is brought together, it has a somewhat bulky seem running down one entire side. If you turn/fold the cap up at the bottom (as it is intended to be worn), the bulk increases. This is not real problem and does not affect comfort or the look of the hat one bit -if you orient the cap so the seem is in back! The wool is soft as merino always is, but does not have the super softness of closer knits that I am accustomed to with Merino products. I think the quality is paramount. Keep is mind it is the traditional watch cap style (timeless),and not the close fitting style of some hats out there. I am a 7 1/8 hat size and the cap is roomy and comfy with plenty of material to fold down over the ears if needed.

Very soft yet trim, easy to keep in a coat pocket.

merino wool is great! non itch and warm.

This hat is rather thin, and lightweight but very soft merino wool and non itchy. It tucks easily into a pocket for "just in case". Would not count on this in extreme or just very cold weather but it is much nicer than a cheap synthetic knit.

I find this hat one of the best Watch Hats offered by Sierra Trading. You can't possibly go wrong. This is a little nicer than some of the other watch style hats (I bought the simpler ones as well!), and I will likely use it for more casual activities and less for "hard work" activities! This is a good product.

I work outside 12 hours a day, it's 30 below today here in Alaska and this thing kept my noggin warm as it has all winter. There's too much material in the back giving it that bunched up funky look, but it might just be mine.
