Reviewed by Al from Wyoming on Thursday, May 02, 2013The title says it all. The material is fairly heavy cotton but soft and supple. Its comfort is enhanced by the square cut on the bottom that invites its being worn outside of the pants. I just love it.

However, because it is a trim cut (my XL is more like a Large), you might want to upsize, especially for sleeve length. This is in direct contrast to a recent hefty cotton plaid shirt from JL Powell that i had to return for a DOWN size; completely different shirts/sizing. Oh, and this does button all the way down; the half-double placket is just ornamentation.

It is a nice combination of soft (knit) and structured (collar), so it looks nice and wears well. I don't think it looks like a "work" shirt as it is described. Very nice.

Powell last month (3/2011) when suddenly it and several others I was planning to purchase were no longer offered on their web-site. I was very disappointed and contacted their Customer Service. It was pure luck that I found the shirts I wanted at Sierra Trading Post! I was pleasantly surprised and immediately purchased this shirt at a substantial discount!
