Joan Vass Jersey Dress - Sleeveless (For Women)

This is a very pleasant dress with unique color and fabric combination. Overall style is elegant yet with a special twist. I like the most that this the dress is stylish and comfortable and, particularly, because it fits a body with very feminine proportions

The dress has no shape to be able to define a waist. It was returned.

I purchased this dress to wear as part of a vintage-looking costume without busting my budget and I wanted to try a Joan Vass item. The style really isn't what I normally would wear, but it does fit nicely, is comfortable and the silk skirt keeps it from being very plain. I will probably wear this to work or for a casual day out. I will most likely purchase Joan Vass products in the future due to the nice quality of this piece.

I sent this dress back, it might be the right dress for someone, but not for me with my proportions. I am quite petite, though not extraordinary thin, but the fit was not at all flattering. I also did not get from the description that the bottom part of the dress was shiny. It was also wrinkle-prone, though the top part is jersey and seems to be easier to care for. The quality seemed good- this just did not work for me.

This is a lovely dress - the fabric is luscious, especially the skirt portion. I was disappointed it didn't look better on me and sent it back. I had ordered it for a specific occasion and wanted it perfect. If I had just been ordering a dress to add to my wardrobe I would have kept it. It's fun and high quality. You can give it a different look by using the drawstring to bring the hem to various levels.

I bought the black and gray and have only won the gray. it must've been an odd day, because I spilled water on the dress several times and it seemed to take forever to dry; then, I dropped a part of my lunch and cleaned the spot right away, and later spilled a couple of drops of coffee-again, took time to spot clean. Maybe because it is very plain (but beautiful) fabric,) and I am used to natural fabrics, but it was just a pain to wear. I laundered it and don't mind the wrinkles in the skirt. I bought the dresses for an overseas trip and will take the black one along but will save the gray one for days when the maid does the lunch prep...

I now have the gray and black. With light cropped cover ups the look can be changed and can be quite dressy. By the way on the casual, classic or stylish dresser question one (me) can be all 3 depending on the occasion. Same goes for comfort vs. style question.

This dress was a real surprise find. It's incredibly flattering because it seems to 'know' what to hide. It ends up being slimming. Depending on what you do with it, it can be pretty casual, almost like a sun dress (though the bottom is a silky material) or more dressy. There's a tie at the top of the skirt part which you can use to make it shorter (as short or long as you want) which makes the top part 'blouson' -- like a blouse. The fabric is great quality - a sort of soft, slightly slinky knit on top, and a stiffer silky fabric on the bottom. People complained about the skirt wrinkling, but I think that's part of the style and it doesn't bother me, I like the look.

I got brave because it's not a style I'd maybe try, but I really do love this cute dress! Feels flattering, feminine, modest and so comfortable! Grateful for modest neckline and arm holes, and still pretty!
