lovely quality but there was so much fabric to gather into the waist, even though I am fairly trim and tall I thought it created a much bulkier look than I wanted or expected.

I loved this dress and couldn't wait for it. When I put it on I found out I had to have a very tiny waist for the dress to look good. If you didn't wear it with the belt it was bigger than a sack. I sent it back.

I really hesitated to order this dress. Read all the reviews and couldn't really find any middle ground. Everyone either loved it or hated it. I am 5'8" and a size 8. This dress fits me perfectly and is really flattering. It's basically a tent dress with a belt which creates a very full skirt below the somewhat fitted sleeveless top portion. Hits exactly at the right spot on my knee and looks lovely. Tried it on with flats and heels and it looks great either way. So glad I took the chance.

If you are thin the dress may work. Otherwise, there is too much fabric. It looks like a tent when not belted.

the perfect dress for the summer. Dramatic in black and can be dressed up with simple pearls. The fabric is light weight and made of cotton for ease of wear and care.

I think this is an excellent fabric, nice weight and drape, not too sheer. There is a very nice feel to the fabric, it came out of the washer well, didn't need much attention from the iron. However, because of the fit and flare it does hit higher on the leg than I expected. The arm holes are very large so it is a dress that will need a cardigan or the paperclip trick to avoid exposing my slip and bra.

I'm 5'4" and generally a 2. I love wearing this dress. This is a "tent" style dress, which is gathered by a matching belt. It's very comfortable and very versatile. It is probably not universally flattering, since it is definitely not tailored. If it works, though, it's a terrific dress.
