    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    From the description ("stretchy, midweight"), I was expecting the fabric to have more "body." It's stretchy alright, but lighter weight and has more draping than I like in a pant. I had a feeling that the pants would get baggier and more shapeless with each wash. Speaking of which, I hadn't noticed that they must be hand washed - a big drawback to me. So I'm returning them.

    These are the absolute best pants I have ever found. They look very stylish yet are extremely comfortable - not tight or binding at all but at that same time flattering. Very nice material which washes well and good for travel. These can be worn with any style, dressed up or down. I may buy a second pair as back up.
