“too trendy for me”

“This is cute, but too trendy for me. I want my clothes to be wearable until they fall apart and this style has a short shelf-life. Also, the asymmetrical skirt length is a problem if you are short-ish. I am 5'4", just missing the Petite mark. With Tall not starting until 5'10", a "regular" skirt has to look right on 6" of varying leg length...quite a challenge. I've got a 30" inseam, long for my height, but the longer side of this skirt is a couple inches below the knee while the shorter side is a couple inches above the knee. I don't like the asymmetrical cut, but that is personal taste. I a cute summer skirt, I'd want it to hit just above the knee, not below it and I'm not sure this bias cut can be shortened w/o having it begin to ravel out. This is one of the few items I've ever sent back and I suspected it was going to be too trendy when I ordered it. My fault. However, the longer length was a surprise.”
