John Partridge Short Duffle Coat - Hooded (For Women)

The coat is awesome. Very well made and nice and warm for the Minnesota winters.

I received one of the unlined coats and it makes the fit awkward when the unlined material clings to my pants! However, I need a light colored coat I can wear at night when I walk the dog and the off-white color is perfect for this. I am glad STP was selling this coat, as I would never have paid full price. I own another JP casual coat that is so much better made than this coat, which is why I was so surprised and disappointed by the fit and the missing lining of this coat.

Great coat. I ordered one size down. Very warm and good in rain and snow.

To add to the previous reviews, for which I am thankful, 1) my coat,apple green color, which has just arrived, has no lining. Judged by the reviews, some of the coats are lined and others not. And STP does not tell you which one you will get. 2) This coat is true to size and most assuredly not to big. Size 38, which is marked as 12, feels like 10, which is what my size is. Incidentally, it ia also marked as size S. Furthermore 38 means the chest measurement. So, it all depends :) The coat is truely wondeful. Too bad they ran out of whites :(

Love this coat. Lost weight and bought a 2nd one in a smaller size. Very warm, breaks the wind, and repels snow. Runs a size large, even with a sweater.

[...]Next morning was cold and frosty and I wore it for my morning walk - perfect, since the wind chill factor was strong. I'm looking forward to long country/seaside winter walks in this one. It was just as I hoped it would be. It is a little too big but that's the way I prefer it, since I can wear a handknit underneath.

This is a classic, wonderful coat. Unfortunately, the British sizing is very hard to match to my usual U.S. sizes and I've had to return two coats to know that I'm "in the middle" (A usual 16/18 or WXL is a size 40 in this coat--for hints)

I agree that this coat seems to run one size large. I got the pink (lovely color) one in 14 but had to return b/c too large. It was all gone in my size but I got the pretty light green. It is perfect. And, yes, the hand/feel of the wool is so nice. Zipper is also very nice. And the price was unbeatable! Thanks, Sierra!
