Unless someone is holding them up to their face, the shoes look black. The color is just way too dark and with the shine, they look like shoes that go with a tux rental. Can't comment on the fit or quality because I never even tried them on. Return.

Does look
more black than burgundy, but not sure how it compares to the black of a tux. Could get away with it if a black tie has the same overtone. -

I got the burgandy color, and it actually looks like black. You have to look very closely to see a shade of burgandy. The shoe has good support, yet there is not much padding around the ankle, so it seems a little stiff around your ankle. Overall this is a great looking shoe.
